Mask Alert

Post by Starlette » Thu Oct 13, 2011 9:31 pm

Once again, after approximately two hours of sleeping I removed my mask last night. The "mask alert" is turned on and I can't hear the alarm???
I just now did it on purpose and the alarm isn't that very loud. Seems like the beep would be loud enough to wake you up. Also, how long does the alarm sound off before turning off? The mask alert was still going off after 5 minutes and hadn't turned off.

Hi Starlette

I would expect the alarm to continue until you had intervened in some way.

I do not know your machine, but sometimes alarms can be adjusted. Does the manual say anything about this.

And I wondered if you covered your ears with bed covers whilst sleeping, and how far away the machine was.

Not much help - sorry - but good luck - maybe somebody else will have a solution

The beep is not very loud. There is no way to adjust the sound levels. For all practical purposes it is pretty useless.
Just not loud enough to wake someone up unless they are a very light sleeper and even a dog fart would wake them.

I woke up one morning to the "beep" and machine was off but it was my regular wake up time so I can't say if the beep woke me up or not. The long hose had come off from the short hose. Near as I could tell by the report times and the time I woke up it appears that the beeping had been going on for 15 to 20 minutes.
