Yes, let's get a mission statement. Then add ISO 9000, TQM, six sigma, and certified professional managers.

Then we can all move to some other board when they become so incompetent that they can't keep their business running any more, and they run out of money to run the board.

Heck, if our host was the kind of company that had a "mission statement," they probably wouldn't be providing this board as a public service, or they'd micromanage it to death.

Perhaps each of us should post our personal mission statement specifying our reasons and goals for using the site.

Any thoughts on mine?:
"To facilitate custom commonsense solutions for utilization of equipment technologies and related methods for increasing benefits of human non-wake states."

It seems that a substantial number of the members on this Forum list their equipment, which in turn provides links to the Hosts products. Thousands of posts = lots of advertising. So Mission Statement is simply " Mission Accomplished "

Going the other direction:

I'm a computer tech.

I was asked to write a mission statement for my job. I wrote:
I fix stuff.

They asked that I be more specific. I wrote:
I fix computer stuff.

They were not amused.

LOL, yours makes the most sense. Most of the missions statements that corps come up with need to be translated into English so people can understand wtf they're talking about.
Thinking of quitting CPAP?

No problem, here's the first thing to do when you quit:

Advanced funeral planning. When you give up CPAP, you'll probably need it.

I think the OP needs to be more transparent about his mission at the present time here on cpaptalk, as well as about the use of "001:" at the beginning of the subject line. Should I take notes on legal paper?

My deepest apologies, Ms. "Spinner". Had I known that this was a BDSM board, and that you would try to top from the bottom, I would have ordered you to reply, and demanded that you press the submit button.

Btw, have you ever experienced "tongue in cheek'? .Give it a try some time, seriously.

May I file this in my "Who the F*ck cares" file? I mean, even if we had a mission statement, who cares? Maybe we should be FDIC insured as well.

Will a mission statement bring world peace? No.
Will it fix the economy? No.
Is it signal compliant? I'm still trying to figure out what the hell that even means.
Will it allow Rock to sleep better at night? Doubtful for him or anyone on this list for that to happen....

Archangle is da man!

If someone insists on a mission for cpaptalk, it is only two words, "CPAP talk".

cpap.com did three important things. They provided the resources (forum software, internet resources); empowered the "talkers"; and got the hell out of the way.

It takes genius to do that and the results speak to this.

We don't need no stinkin' mission statement.
