This is my first post. I finished my sleep test last night and returned home with my very own C-PAP machine.
My name is Joe. The 0206 signifies the month and year I started sleeping better... I hope.
I look forward to 'hanging out' here.

Welcome Joe. You will find alot of very nice folks here, and they can offer lots of support and information.
I'm a fellow Arkansan, living over here in rural Arkansas 30 miles south of Mena, about 150 miles from Little Rock.
Hopefully, you won't have any problems, but if you do this is the place to come. You might want to type in your pressure in your "profile signature area". It helps to know it if you ask questions later.
Good Luck, and welcome again.
Linda

Welcome Joe
I'm not an Arkansan, but I know where "The Rock" is. We lived in Fayetteville in '77. We had season tickets to the Fayetteville games. We went to the Orange Bowl game in '78. That's the one where Arkansas "didn't stand a chance". But, someone failed to tell The Hogs that. The final score was UA 31-OU 6. The OU people didn't know what to say. We had a large old time in Miami. Now, we're AU Tiger fans. We live in Montgomery, AL.
Gotta go
Take care and sleep well.

Wow, that was fast, Joe. Hope you do well with the therapy and have lots of questions.Joe_0206 wrote:I finished my sleep test last night and returned home with my very own C-PAP machine.
BTW, do you know where Pulaski Heights is?
Regards,
Bill
You are 3/4 there, Read the posts, download the software and order your card reader and you will soon know most of what you need to get good treatment. What is your treatment setting XX cm, and what mask are you using.

Thanks for the kind welcome. As for my first night at home with "the machine" I slept great. So great, in fact, that I had a rough time waking. It literally took a couple of hours to get going today. That must have been the best sleep I have had in years. My brain doesn't know how to deal with more than a few minutes of REM at a stretch.
In Other News...
I’m actually from Selma, Alabama. I’ve spent several years in Georgia (Macon and Savannah.) I also lived in Illinois for a while. This is a return to Arkansas, my wife and I lived here about 15 years ago. When the opportunity afforded itself, we returned.
I’ll give a further update on my settings when time permits. As of right now, my pressure setting is at 11. Last night, my heated humidity setting was on 3. I’m thinking of dropping that back to 2. My ramp time is set for 10 minutes. I’m thinking of moving that up to 15 or 20.
Again, thanks for the welcome. I’ll do my best to help when I can.
