Does this seem accurate?

Post by ems » Tue Oct 04, 2011 9:15 pm

I told my DME that the Sleep Specialist suggested I try a new mask, which happens to be the Sleep Weaver.

They said they had to order it "special" from the manufacturer because they didn't carry it, and since that was the case, no 30 day trial period would accompany it. I told them that didn't sound right, etc. etc.

Does anyone know if this is true?? I have a feeling it isn't. Should I go to another DME?

DMEs often make their own house rules which limit the paperwork they want to do but from SleepWeaver website
http://circadiance.com/sleepweaver-guarantee.php

» If you buy directly from the Circadiance site, Circadiance offers a 30-day money back guarantee.

» If you buy through your home care provider and do not like the mask, you can return it to your home care provider within 30 days for a replacement mask.

You can trial the mask thru cpaplibrary.com or you can purchase on cpap.com
As I recall this is a one size fits most mask so sizing should not be an issue in ordering.

My DME told me that I couldn't return a Sleepweaver mask if I didn't like it, however when I posted about that here, the Circadian guy came on here and said that my DME can return it within 30-days if I didn't want to keep it, for a full refund. So when I order mine this week I shall be pointing that out to them.

Hope this helps a little.

Cheers,
xena
