Daughter's first night

Post by Bons » Sat Oct 01, 2011 7:37 am

My 24 year old daughter joined the club last night. She slept for 7 hours straight, woke up without an alarm, feels great, and had an AHI of .7 I'm jealous! After a year I still wake up several times a night, have an AHI around 2, and sleep through my alarm some mornings.

Way to go!.......I'll bet she took to the hose so well because shes watched and listened to your problems. When she went on the hose last night she was already half way there, she knew what was about to happen. You've got a good daughter there Bons, hope all keep going well with her.
Cheers
Nan

I hope your daughter will join the forum and share her experience. I'm glad things went well and hope her success continues. We always like to hear from new members who make the commitment to therapy and for whom all goes well.
You must be agood influence.

It is really great to hear success stories, especially multi-person success stories! I'm sure with your help she'll do great, and of course you're going to get her to sign up here too LOL

I also found out she's a good pastor's kid . She's been out of college two years, making a go of it 1000 miles away as a sub, and finally found a fulltime teaching position in a brand new private school for low-income kids. Her boyfriend graduated this year, is still looking for work. They moved in together last month, since his parents cut off all financial support.

I warned her that the boyfriend might not appreciate the draft from her cpap mask and she got all upset - "Mom, we have a 2 bedroom apartment". Didn't know that before!

Well, much better that he get used to it being a factor now. If he can't accept her unconditionally (air blower and all) then she should know that LOL

Since her snoring could probably be heard in the next town, much less the next room, I'm sure that he appreciates the pap!

When she showed up with it today for an overnight event at the church camp where she works summers and weekends, the rest of the female staff cheered......

Congratulations on having such a fine daughter! Obviously, that particular acorn fell close to the tree.
