I have worn mine overnight several times for 7 or 8 hours with no problem. I synch the data to SleepyHead by starting the two at the same time, uploading the RESMED data to SH and then using that start time to download the O2 data.
1. Is there no way to input and sync the CMS 50D+ oximetry data into ResScan software to produce ResScan oximetry graphs along with its other graphs?
2. How does ResScan normally acquire oximetry data to produce ResScan oximetry detail graphs for users who want the graphical information?
Thanks.

1. I don't know of any way to input the CMS 50D+ data to ResScan.
2. ResMed has an Oximetry Kit, but I can't find it for sale on the internet. My Dr. was going to prescribe my DME to provide one for me (I don't know for how long), until I told her I had one on order.

You could use Sleepyhead software to see your CPAP machine and CMS oximeter data together
Does the CMS 50D+ use the user replaceable batteries?
My CMS50E internal battery died after about 18 months

The CMS 50D+ uses 2 standard AAA batteries, which of course, can be rechargeables.
The internal rechargeable internal battery thing has been a deal breaker for me on many electronic devices, don't trust em. Is there any way to crack the CMS50E open, and maybe find a replacement battery?

Yes, it uses 2 AAA batteries. The ones that came with it only lasted 2 nights. Now I have rechargable ones in it.

My wife, so smart... Put it on record, then on her finger and wore a sock over her hand all night to keep it in place. We have recorded all night without incident.
Live life completely, let happy things make you happy and sad things make you sad, but be present in life! OH and one more little thing, CPAP saved my life, NO DOUBT. Two naps on the way to work every day after a full nights sleep is a symptom isn't it?

Good idea, I'm going to try it. Thank your wife for me.

I did try to open it. See the link to the thread below

http://www.cpaplibrary.com/s9-oximetry.html
Video on the ResMed Oximeter. The S9 video says the oximeter slot is only on the back of 2 machines. I think you have to depend on the DME to download and read the data.
The SleepyHead and CMS50D+ are much more accessable.
