Then it's 300% more expensive to buy in Australia.....

There is a company called Borderlinx which will do shipping aggregation and send to Australia. They are actually linked to DHL, and thus are pretty reliable. I have bought all kinds of stuff from the US (including quite a bit of CPAP gear from cpap dot com) without any problems.
