I think the problem might be I leave the mask as I took it off and pull it on the next night which may be stretching it? All I know is the headgear is really stretched out.
That's when my headgear blew out, after 3 weeks.
I wear a medium mask, but have found that the size small headgear works much better. They just ship them separately, still the same price, as the mask/headgear combination.
I think the straps stretch so easily because they are so much thinner than the the M.Quattro, and other FFM's.

I run the machine for 15 mins–half hour before I plan to put it on, which warms up the air.

Thanks Vader, I have heard that a lot around here and plan to get small headgear for the mask. I just hope I get another week as I am going to Vegas for my first vacation since.....well....ever. The velcro looks like thats about all it has left to give me, a week at best. I will pack my nasal pillows and tape just in case. I plan to hit the DME for the small headgear and then hit them right before the 30 days for a F&P 431 to give that a try. They said I can keep the old mask as well which is nice.

I have a Quattro FX medium. The little plastic measuring guide seems to indicate that I need a medium. I have tried using it a couple of times. The mask goes on and doesn't leak, but it feels uncomfortable and leaks during the night when I push my face into the pillow. My regular Quattro FFM seems to keep working like it should.

Really? A PRS1 auto??? I could run mine for a week and it would still be blowing freezing cold air!

Hi all,

I read the forum a lot, but haven't commented lately. Thank you so much for all the comments about The Quattro FX - I'm using it for the first time tonight and am looking forward to NOT taping my mouth. I will definitely work on keeping the lower straps a little tighter, especially since I have a narrow jaw. I also went to a new sleep doc today (not an ENT, but a realllll sleep doc, what a concept!). What a difference! His focus is SLEEP, imagine that.

Also, I just learned that my Encore software won't work with Windows 7...... after we got a new computer. I'm thinking of getting a small laptop to use separately. It's always something, but I'm grateful to be alive and breathing.

Will let you know what happens with the Quattro.

Pat

Best of luck, Pat! I tried 4-5 different masks (nasal, pillow, and Mirage Quattro) before settling on the FX, and haven't looked back. I love the FX!
