The unit I got was not perfect. It seems to overheat a bit. The air from the hose gets a little warm. But it's great for naps. In that case it's not on long enough to warm up the air. And I've used it when my main system was not working well. (I since had Resmed replace that unit).

They don't come up often. And of course, with the new S1 ASV units, you won't see a lot there for a bit. But every now and then you find them. In fact, someone else here pointed me to the unit when it came up for sale. I think I ended up paying about $550 for the unit. Someone else (not a member here) ended up bidding on the unit, which drove it up a bit.

Here's hoping you find an older, acceptable unit that you can use as a backup unit!

The higher the cost and TECH in a machine the more prone to failure due to the extra things it has to do for you. That's why the model "T" was a hit, low cost to own and operate, simple could be fixed by the owner. I have 3 XPAPS, one new in bag, saving it for a replacement. The more you are prepared for trouble, the less you will have it. Jim

I use my back up machine in my motorhome and when I travel. It hooks up to my battery set up just fine, so if need be I am also good if the power goes out.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

Thanks John, $550 isn't too bad. I've got to consider a power back up as well, so I guess I've got to save up some bucks and start looking.
Thinking of quitting CPAP?

No problem, here's the first thing to do when you quit:

Advanced funeral planning. When you give up CPAP, you'll probably need it.
