hello again people, here is another update.
story so far had home oximetry test on 4th august 2011 got told have sleep apnoea and that some of the readings gave cause for concern & that i should not travel wait near phone for the consultant to call me well that was weeks ago now & i had no phone call.
so i decided to call them no joy the secretary wouldn't let me talk to the registrar or the consultant to find out what is going on she just rattled off some long medical terms said i being refered back to ENT as i refused the CPAP news to me so i put her straight as can not refuse something which has not been offered to me!!! she changed her tune but still not put me through to consultant instead told me to go see my own doctor to get copy of the hospital report so off i trotted to doctors as it local only to be told that he has not got a clue why the hospital sent me to him & that he has no information to give me so i am very confused now has any other members on here been treated like this? if so do you know how i can complain get answers? as need to know as it driving me mad!!!!!!!!!! thanking you in advance for the replies

Re: very confused
Who did your home test? Can you get an appointment with them to discuss the results? Sounds like you may have gotten off on the wrong foot with the office. You can call them back and calmly and briefly explain your problem, and that the local doc never got a copy of the report. You have certainly fallen through the cracks, but I believe the key is to to explain exactly what happened to the nurse and ask for an appointment, or that results be sent to your regular physician. Your personal doc may also request a copy of the report. Sounds ilke you may have to be patient because getting angry in a situation like this (no matter how justified) just makes it worse.
Good luck, keep us posted.

Thanks for eply Mary, i maybe should have pointed out that i live in the UK. i found this site by accident but it more helpfull than uk ones i was on as logged posts & still got no replies but on here i have posted twice & got response in seconds.
i don't get angry easilly it takes lot to make me bite but once i bite watch out!!! lol.
the reason i lost it at the secretary was even after i explained things & that she might have misstaken me for different patient she still not listen i could understand if my surname was a common one say like Smith but i have a very old English one which is not that common but loads of people know it.
the thing is that although the net is sometimes good source for information it also can scare you as some of the options are extreme i just need re-assurance all is ok. test was carried out at my home using equipment supplied by the hospital.
