This would be like sleeping on a massage table with one of those pillows with a hole for the face to go into. Anybody ever tried something like this? Did it help?
A person obviously most certainly cannot sleep FACE DOWN IN a pillow without suffocating. I don't know if you can find a device like is used on a massage or chiropractic table that has an opening for your face so you can breathe, but man that would be uncomfortable. I don't even know if a person could manage to sleep like that all night. Sleeping with your head to the side while on your stomach will ultimately cause back and neck problems. So although sleeping on your stomach can help with snoring and OSA to a degree, it can cause a lot of other problems at the same time. And it's "help" snoring and sleep apnea, not get rid of them.
"Many stomach sleepers experience some type of pain. Whether it’s in the neck, back, or joints, this pain can affect how much sleep you get. More pain means you’re more likely to wake up during the night and feel less rested in the morning." [From the link below.]
