Whenever we have a cold snap here in Chicago someone will say to me, "Where's your global warming now?" I always want to strangle them with the string I use to keep my mittens from getting lost. So I feel like I have to resist the temptation to cite a spell of hot weather -- even one as bad as Oklahoma and Texas are experiencing -- as proof of anything. Year-to-year variations are just too big to draw conclusions from one year or ten. However, we've been keeping records now for over a century and the long-term trend is clear. Oklahoma in July is getting hotter, http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/temp-and-preci ... e=34&div=0, and so is the rest of the country.

Global Warming Fun!

Post by Vader » Mon Aug 08, 2011 10:29 pm

I like to have a little fun on a beautiful hot summer's day, and invite a liberal friend over to my house, to crack open a can or two of ice cold beer by the pool.( I don’t really drink beer, but play along, folks ) Then I Say: "Run that Cap and Trade thing by me one more time, because there's something I don't get. You guys are saying that we need to raise taxes and make energy more expensive so we can get less weather like this?"

Well in France, we had one of the coldest july in the century! I had packed short sleeves only (and my CPAP of course ) and deeply regretted it. But as I am stubborn I didn't go and buy pullovers It even snowed in the mountains, quite low in altitude. Don't bother sending hot weather over here now, I'm back at work
