I purchased the Quattro FX last week and used it a couple of nights but I had leaks around the eyes so I purchased the PAD A CHEEK liner. Put it all together. Tried it on while sitting in my recliner turned the machine and no leaks.
A couple of questions for those who use this combo.
1. The instructions say you can "cut the hole larger to accommodate your nose". There are a couple vertical cuts at the top of the nose hole. Are you suppose the just extend these cuts to make the hole bigger? If I do this I believe it would relieve some pressure on my nose but my mouth will still be covered up by the material.
2. Is your mouth suppose to be covered up?
I would like this mask to work because it is so light and comfortable for a full face mask.
Just wanted to ask these questions before I grab the scissors and start snipping away.

Re: Trimming the PAD A CHEEK mask liner
hello Kempo,
I am sorry you are having a challenge trying to figure out what to do. The mask liner holes are small on purpose, it is better to have it small and cut it larger than to have the hole too large and not cover the seal.
The two slits on the top of the hole are indeed to make the pressure on your nose bridge less, if you need to make those slits longer the fabric will roll on the bridge of your nose instead of a straight line of fabric that would be less comfortable. You can thank Lori Dawn for that great suggestion.
The bottom part of the hole for the nose/mouth can be carefully trimmed about an 1/8 of an inch at a time with very sharp scissors.
You can leave it covering your mouth if you wish to help hold your lips together. Or you can cut it large enough that your mouth is also uncovered. I hope this clears up any confusion.
Karen

Also, instead of cutting the hole on the bottom for your mouth, if you cut the slits on top of the hole a bit longer, you will have more room for your mouth. Just make them as long as you need to (a TINY bit at a time so you don't get too big of a hole). You still want it to be kind of "taught" when you put your face in there. But the longer the slits at the top, the more it will ride lower on your chin.

Also, you want to be careful not to cut the hole to low for the mask. The Quattro FX has a nasty habit (at least on my face) of "riding up" my face toward my eyes. This tends to leave the lower part of the mask across my mouth. Rather as if the lower part of the mask becomes bit in a bridle! Though I did lower the hole in the mask, I was careful not to "overdo" it.
Hope that helps.

BTW Karen, I just got my PAC and liner, thanks for the speedy response in mailing them, I placed the order Friday night and got them today.
Thinking of quitting CPAP?
No problem, here's the first thing to do when you quit:
Advanced funeral planning. When you give up CPAP, you'll probably need it.

Thanks Karen and everyone for your help. That's the kind of suggestions I needed before I start custom fitting the cover for my big nose.
Re: Trimming the PAD A CHEEK mask liner
So when I went to my DME and picked up my quattro FX I was measured with the tool and according to the measurements I should use a medium. The girl said I think you will probably need a large because the cushion is to close to the corners of your mouth. I told her I would rather go by what the measuring tool says.
I was waking up with leaks at the corners of my mouth so I carried the mask back to my DME. When I walked in the door she was smiling and said you need a large. I sheepishly said yea. She said lay that one on my desk and grab that size large over there. If you have any trouble with that one let me know.
I'm starting to like my DME.
