Leak rate median v 95th percentile Rescan question

Post by RandyJ » Thu Aug 04, 2011 6:59 am

This morning when I checked my onscreen S9 Autoset results for last night, it showed a leak rate of 34.8, but when I checked the SD card in the Rescan software, I saw that my leak rate never went over 10 for the whole night, and most of the night was at 0 to 4.

The Rescan software showed that my median leak rate was 1.2, and 95th percentile was 34.8. Could the 95th percentile reading be cumulative for previous nights when leak rate was high?

There were 30 seconds of a leak rate off the charts after I turned on machine and was adjusting my mask, but could that result in the 95th percentile reading of 34.8? It doesn't make sense to me.

Here is a photo of leak graph for the night:

Can anyone help?

Doesn't make sense to me either. 30 seconds of large leak over 8 hours shouldn't give a 95% that high.
Just in case you are having machine reporting issues unplug the machine and the plug back in to force the machine firmware to reboot. Then see what shows after tonight's sleep.

Is it possible that on screen you had it set to look at a data average > 1 Day? Check the first entry on the onscreen display to see what it says.

The software dates in the to and from spot should be obvious if it was more than one night. It won't be cumulative unless multiple nights with grossly huge leaks. I am thinking a bug in the machine firmware. That is why I suggest a forced reboot. If that doesn't remedy situation I would be alerting the DME.

Thanks Pugsy and Alshain I will reboot and check tomorrow a.m.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions about erroneous data. Machine is less than 1 week old.
