Is it illegal for me to sell my CPAP machine to someone? I have a top of the line APAP actually. No need for it anymore. Comes with directions, etc. hose, masks. And software for downloading info about your sleep.
If I had known I would have lived this long, I would have taken better care of myself.

Selling PAP answer -- technically YES -- in reality it happens every day.
You should have posted model/make of the gear.

Tom,
Why don't you need it anymore?
And the legal answer is yes, as long as the following are met
1) the purchaser has an rx for cpap
2) the unit is sold as it was sold from the manufacturer.
(this is according to a conversation I had with a gentleman from the FDA)

DCTom,
You can sell it at YAHOO auctions if you want. Lots of xPAPs for sale there. They don't care about the prescription deal.
Let us know the make, model, nbr. of hours, etc. and we can PM you... with our opinions on the listing, of course....
