Resmed S9 Autoset issue with sleep report

Post by KeithK » Sat Jul 30, 2011 10:10 pm

Hi, I've tried searching for my answer without success.

I can't get weekly/monthly/etc reports to show properly on the S9 display
The best way to view all possible LCD info is to hold down the info button and the setup button simutaneously for about 3 seconds (that's the 2 oblong buttons).
I've been using my own S9 Autoset with humidifier for about 3 weeks. All data appears to record on the SD card.
With sleep quality = on, I do see more data on the S9's display but when I change from 1 day to 1 week or 1 month or 6 months.... the report doesn't change. Of interest >4 is still only 1/1 (This is looking on the S9 display, not resscan).

Any suggestions please?

Off topic: if it helps anyone else... I have the flu at the moment the humidifier has helped me heaps. Apparently I used it for 17hrs yesterday.

The only thing I can think of is that you might not be pushing the dial again after you change the period. If you've been using the machine only three weeks, one month and six months will be the same, but you should see a difference between day and week.

Have you tried rebooting the s9? The firmware is buggy, but many problems will go away if you shut off (not stop) or unplug the machine and start it back up again.

Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Otter for all, definitely getting better today too. Using the humidifer (17hrs yesterday) is making a huge difference.

I had tried powering down then unplugging without success.
Strangely this worked about 30min ago though...

> Hold button down till off
> disconnected climateline
> unplugged power from s9
> disconnected humidifier
> this part optional: played with filter and a nature call
> reconnected humidifer, climateline, power,
powered up and it works now.

Otter if you happen to read this, I noticed your software
is viewtopic.php?f=1&t=65738&start=195 the best thread to read about it?
thanks again

Yes. But be warned, it's nowhere near done yet. JediMark is calling it a pre-alpha, which means it's very raw, unfinished, and as likely to explode as show you your data. That said, it's already useful, and it's going to be hands down the best data viewer for CPAP users when it grows up. Unlike all the other options, this one is coded by a fellow hosehead for exactly what we do with a viewer.

Thanks. Yesterday I read a lot about the problems with the S9's skew and data issues but it was all a bit over-whelming.

My 95th percentile pressure is 19.8 so I'm not overly concerned about stats. Mine tend to be consistantly scarey. My AHI continues to improve. Average around 5 but can get up to 10.

It doesn't sound like the S9 meets your needs, then. Some of the bilevel machines can go over 20cm H2O. You might want to talk to your doctor about switching to a higher pressure machine. Or get the one in your avatar.

I keep wondering how high I would go without machine limitation, it has concerned me, that's where the avatar idea came from.

I've dealt with some great medicos over the last 6 months. I can't say the same for the respiratory specialist and clinicians I've seen. I've learnt enough to know they have not addressed my concerns properly. I wonder if they really care.
