What can you tell me about this ResMed Autoset?

Post by Liz H » Wed Jul 27, 2011 10:58 pm

I would like to know if I can determine the pressure it's putting out, and if I can adjust it. I'd also like to know if there's accessible software in there that might have some useful data. I plan to get a new one, but it will be awhile before I select and order it.

ResMed AutoSpirit, model no. R300-301/3 (I think this is the model number!)

9 pin male DIN connector, and 15 pin female connector (VGA type)

I'm not familiar with the model you referenced.

I went to the cpap.com website and couldn't find it either: https://www.cpap.com/cpap-machines/resm ... /0:2::::20:.

You might want to check Resmed.com also. In you're looking at full data capability, the only two ResMed units that I know have it are the S8 Autoset II [which I use] and the newer S9 units.

The Resmed AutoSet Spirit is the outside of the US version of the AutoSet Vantage and AutoSet. What we need to know is if it is an S7, S8 or S9 series. Is it silver colored w/black? Is it beige w/navy blue? Is it grey?

The S8 and S9 AutoSets are fully data capable APAPs. I'm not sure that the S7 AutoSet was fully data capable. I think so but can't swear to it.

Tell us the color and we can pretty much tell you which one you have.

I think it is fully data capable but if it is like the S7 Malibu only by the cable connections as there is no place for the ResScan smart card.

There maybe on screen data though.

Hi Liz H

I think you have a Resmed S7 Lightweight model. These were one level below the Autoset & Elite. My recollection is they had a light blue face panel.

Here is a link to a user manual for the S7 Lightweight

Also just found this & yes the Lightweight had a powder blue panel.

Here is a link to a settings doc (kindly provided by Rested Gal)

Also, I can't find any providers manual for that model - I can't recall if it provided nightly data but I do know that the Elite & Spirit did.

It is beige with blue. The pressure is getting less each night, I'd like to increase the pressure if I can.

Link 3 in my prior post should tell you how to do that. Get back if you have any problems trying to do so.

Cheers

Beige and navy blue is a Resmed S8 AutoSet Spirit.

W/the S8s you press and hold for 3-4 seconds the Right and Down buttons. From then on it is Left button to Enter, Right button to Exit, Up button to Return to previous screen, Down button to Proceed to next screen.

Thank you. We did get into the menu, and set the upper range all the way up to 20. I figure it will only get there if I need it. We found the settings didn't reflect the attached humidifier, so changed that as well.

I'm not sure why, but it worked better, even at the low initial setting. The motor whined more though! This is definitely on its last legs.
