Hi there!

Post by flyerbear » Fri Dec 31, 2004 10:53 pm

Hello everyone! I've been reading for a few days and figured it was time for my first post. I'm 28 years old and just found out I have sleep apnea. I've been on the machine for about a week and a half. I've had some good nights and some bad. Unfortunately, more bad but I'm trying to hang in there! I'm glad I found this place. I've already learned a lot!

Welcome!
And Happy New Year to you.
Look at it as a new beginning for you and your health. I'm sure things will improve. I've been on mine for a little more than a month. Sometimes there still are bad nights. But overall, things are infinitely better than before the treatment. Bet that will be so for you too.

Be sure to post topics in the regular section. As you've seen already, people on this forum are helpful and encouraging. Feel free to ask lots of questions. You've come to the right place.

Again, welcome!

Linda

Thanks for the welcome, Linda!

I have a cold now with a slight cough so last night was fun! I'm having trouble with my nose too. That actually started before I got the CPAP but it's not getting any better. So I'm going to try to get to my reg. Dr. soon to get some med. for it.

Hope you had a wonderful first day of the new year!
Lori

Thanks. I did have a nice first day, actually.

Sorry to hear about you not feeling well. I'm dreading the first cold or flu while using my bipap. I frankly don't know how I'm going to handle a stuffy nose and the mask. As it is now, the least bit of stuffiness, and I can't handle the mask. Guess I may have to get some alternative mask for those times when I'll be forced to breath through my mouth.

Hope things get easier for you soon. Things will look up, I'm sure.

Linda
