July 19-20 EPAP=4, PSmin=3

More of the same, results look fairly consistent over the past few days.

You are right, looks consistent. You could decrease PSmin some more, but I am skeptical that it is going to help after seeing this:

I need advice on software. I am now on Auto BIPAP SV Advanced System One.

Could someone explain to me which is appropriate for reading the data card: Encore 2.0 or 2.5? I don't even see 2.5 for sale.

I had been using SleepyHead which I really liked but it is not yet adapted for my machine. Onkore refuses to work with tis new machine as well.

I really need the data feedback. ChrisT

You need Encore 2.5. All versions before 2.5 won't read the data for your machine.

SleepyHead now had an ASV version in testing:

No need for Encore Pro if you have the new PRS1 ASV.

The file that you download is an executable. Once you download it, just click on it and SleppyHead should start right up. Then, import your data by selecting the P-series folder on your SD card and you should be good to go. If it crashes the first time you import your data, don't worry about it. Just restart SleepyHead and everything should work properly from there.

Thanks for your help! I have successfully updated my lenovo with the new SleepyHead version and it loaded seamlessly.
The hang up was on the Mini Mac which was not the intended machine for this program thus the prompt of What application?

I can now get my information thanks to Jedimark's work. I truly appreciate the SleepyHead program and this newest version.

What am I missing on making the whole left side with the data bigger on the screen?

I now see I need to work on hypopneas. This SV machine seems to have flattened down centrals and obstructives at least last night. I know. I need to get a bigger sampling.

I have forgotten the significance of FLowLimit. Mine said 2.21

Also noted flow limitation under events = 18. I think my upper limit is 25. Significance?

I am somewhat giddy with having information again. ChrisT

Antonio, I wouldnt mind seeing that methadone info you have. It might even be worth a thread. I feel pretty good today, my functionability is getting better...meaning I can handle stress, hold down a technical conversation with a client, take care of complex issues, and I don't feel dragged down. Mornings still take me a while to get going but outside of that I can tell I'm getting better.

On the subject of methadone, on the one hand it's good to know that could be the cause of my SA, but on the other hand it's not good to know that could be the cause of my SA. It means I may have to find something to replace it, and all the other meds I've tried don't do nearly as well with my sciatic pain, which can be debilitating. Methadone has been a miracle drug because I can function throughout the day without pain and without any high feeling, and it is extremely cheap.

So, I'm not sure where I'll go from here. I see the doc next month.

I'll have to send it to you tomorrow as I am home and don't have access to the medical journal articles from here. I'll try and send you a PM or you can PM me an e-mail address and I can email them directly to you as attachments. I know what you are saying about the methadone. I was using medical cannabis until I found out what it was doing to my SA. The oral/IV opioids in general are bad for SA as far as I have read so far. From memory, opioids depress respiration rates and higher respiration rates are key for spontaneous breathing/avoiding centrals/blood CO2 concentrations on ASV, in my personal experience. There has to be something else out there for you. I'll see what I can dig up for you while I collect the methadone papers. If you are feeling better and compliant with ASV, there is nothing wrong with staying on the methadone in my non-medical doctor opinion. Feeling and functioning better is the most important and the machine will keep you out of too much trouble with the CA/OA. Your AHI's aren't that horrible on it (of course, they could be better, but it might end up being a trade off between no pain and an AHI in the 5-10 range or pain and an AHI of 0). What was your AHI pre xPAP/ASV while on methadone?
