Dumb question..

Is Expiratory & Therapy pressure on the S9 technically the same as EPAP & IPAP?

Edit: Because that would explain a lot..

Depends on how you define EPAP and IPAP. As targets they are the same. The difference is how fast the algorithm gets to them. EPR usually just touches the targets before heading back the other way, but it's my understanding that full bilevel devices get there quickly enough to park on the target pressure.

I guess I'll know for sure when I get my hands on some BiLevel data..

Another potentially silly question:

On the S9, when the high resolution mask pressure is available, what is the point of keeping the low resolution one?

EDIT: I did find one use for it.. Therapy & Exp Pressure look better overlayed over the low resolution one..

I've wondered about this too. Given the importance of the pressure readings, perhaps there are two sensors. If there are, then I suspect the low res mask pressure is a sanity check for the higher resolution sensor.

I honestly don't think the ResMed guys are that clever.. I expect it more likely one is dodged down software filter of the other..

Then again, it's possible it's part of the safety circuitry..

When I look at a S9 VPAP Auto PLD.edf file with EDF Browser, it shows Insp Pressure and Exp Pressure but no Therapy Pressure.

Neat.. I can add that field..

Insp, as in Inspiratory? I'm assuming it's the same thing as Therapy pressure anyway..

Can you confirm how it's spelt exactly in the edf file including case..

archangle - this git client worked for me:

http://git-scm.com/

Follow the Download/ Windows link. I used the topmost file, Git-1.7.6-preview20110708.exe

then you just need to set the Path variables in QTCreator as in the link in Mark's reply to your post
Sleep Long, and Prosper.

Mark, Right now I'm traveling right now. I have my CMS50 Oximeter. In the past, when I've been home I ran the software that came with it on my PC, and then ran SleepyHeadQT on my mac pointing it to the files in the SPO2 directory. This all worked fine. I had never tried to import things directly into my mac. I fired up SleepyHeadQT on my mac -- which I built a little over a week ago and had been running just fine -- but when I went to Oximetry the drop down menu for port had no value (I remember on the PC it had COM4). I tried putting the CMS50 in upload mode (and it's plugged into the USB port), but that didn't change. I also just downloaded the new SleepyHeadQT alpha for the mac fromm sourceforge but there was no change in behavior. Is there some secret setting that I'm missing?

Victor

Insp Pressure

I zipped my sd card and the file is 6.84 mg and is slowly uploading to my web site. I will send you the location later today.

Thanks Fiberfan..

It's only a few different event names to clean up.. Nothing complicated about VPAP, so nice and easy..

I'll let you know when I've got something worth testing.. Due for a new update soon anyway...

I've made a few oximetry changes.. I'm not sure if they're online yet.

I'm getting a little mac-frustrated.. It's a little hard for me to write the code for it when I don't have access to a Mac.. I hate pushing buggy crap on you guys.. :-/

Unfortunately there's some scroll glitches and stuff I've got to work around..

I just discovered windows has a similar problem on some video cards, so I've got a something I can test.. Just waiting for my wifes notebook to get back from service (again, they stuffed up and put the wrong O/S on it) which has the graphics card that seems playing up the most (nvidia)

Anyway.. For the next few days I'm on a break.. So it'll be a little quite on the development front..

I think I found a bug..which should be an easy fix! It relates to the sleep time calculation. Last night I slept from 23:58 to 08:06. 8 hrs and 4 minutes. Sleepytime shows 8:46 as time slept though :X

A well-deserved break. Recharge your batteries.
