Power surge on Respironics BiFlex Pro

Post by BreathlessBiPap » Sun Jan 15, 2006 7:39 pm

I have a BiPap Pro Domestic with Biflex and live in the US. I am no longer covered by health insurance.

During a storm the power (to the house) went out very briefly. When the machine restarted, it went into some kind of diagnostic mode. In very small letters on the upper left corner of the display I see the word "Alert". The larger characters in the middle of the display appears to read "ES3" [The "S" could be a "5"]

When I unplug and replug, the system display indicates numbers that I believe are the same as the numbers that were displayed before the power outage, but the system then goes to "ES3"

If, on power up, I hold down the two arrow buttons below the display and start the system up, I can toggle between BiPap and BiFlex modes.

Any idea on what I may be able to do to get the machine to start up again.

Thanks

Sounds like a good one for Johnny and the Cpap Pros or either someone from Respironics. May want to look in the manual for error codes to see if it shows what it is. You can also email Respironics and get their service department and maybe get a answer. Just my suggestions.

I don't have a manual...

I don't have a manual for the system. Also, I don't like cluttering my somewhat limited system up, and don't use Flash. Unfortunately the Respironics site requires Flash. If someone would kindly share a service support email address for respironics I'd be most grateful.
