OT: Electronic Medical Records

One of the current criticisms is that there is no uniform standard for the claim forms that must be filled out for insurance reimbursement. Every insurance company has a different form for the same claim driving up costs considerably and responsible for many of the reimbursement refusals and re-submission of claims. Currently our two local hospitals have gone to EMRs so far resulting in twice and more paperwork and still unable to access the EMRs from other stand alone facilities.
