ResMed S8 Elite with HumidAire 3i Question

Post by RJ » Sat Jan 14, 2006 4:50 pm

Would like to chat with someone about the Detailed Menu. Specifically, getting to the Humidity setting. I’ve read the manual but missing a step somewhere along the way.
Thanks

I'm not sure I understand your question? Because to set the humidity you just turn the dial up and down ... bascially it's trial and error and trying different levels until you get the one that suits you! I don't know of any other setting in the menu that has to do with the H3i, the machine will simply select if it is present or not appart from that it's all down to the dial.
(Unless I've missed something - which could always be the case)

Is there some specific problem you have with the humidifier?

sir_cumference: I didn't think the humidifier was working and wanted to check on the menu to see if it was activated. After experimenting a little and turning the knob up full I did feel a little heat from the heating plate, so it is working. Also the indicator light flickers to indicate the unit is heating.
There are two menus with my S8 Elite, the standard menu and the Detailed or Clinical as the display shows. The detailed is not readily available unless you activate it by punching a certain combination of keys. It contains about 6 settings, a few of which are EPR setting, mask, smartstart on or off, etc. I was and still am having trouble getting to one of the settings. I have seen it before so I know it's there. Just can't find the right combination. Sometime I can't see the forest for the trees.
I appreciate your comments. Thanks again.
