Minor mask gripe (Swift FX)
Minor mask gripe (Swift FX)
So I've had a swift FX mask for about a month or so now and I've noticed over the past two weeks that the strap that goes over the top of my head smashes my hair down and it doesn't recover during the day! I'm a guy with short, straight hair - before this I wouldn't have thought that my hair could have been smashed. Anyway, despite an appropriate personal hygene regimen (i.e. I shower/wash hair every morning ) I still have a band of hair across my head that doesn't sit even with the rest. Has anyone else seen this?

I get the same thing with my hybrid. When you pu your mask on simply fluff your hair out from under the strap and let it lay over the strap.

Re: Minor mask gripe (Swift FX)
My first thought was to loosen up the top strap by 1 notch. However, I am not sure that will be totally effective.
Next, I believe Pad A Cheek sells a cover that can be used with that strap, or you can improvise or make your own. This would apply the pressure over a larger area of hair. It will either solve the problem, or leave you with a wider band of smashed hair...
Another option is to wear a hat.
Another option is to change your hair style and let it grow out a little.
From "outside the box" you may be able to visit a hair stylist and find a conditioning rinse or shampoo that builds volume in the hair, and that may help.

Re: Minor mask gripe (Swift FX)
I may be mistaken, but I think I've read on this forum that many users of the Swift FX have the top strap VERY loose; it's the strap that goes around the back of the head that needs to be fitted well. Of course, YMMV.
Veni, vidi, Velcro. I came, I saw, I stuck around.
