Yes the pressure can be changed but might be a good idea to use software and determine if it is pressure, leaks, hours of use or whatever before blindly changing things. For software options..

Probably also a good idea to get the clinician manual for in depth details on machine functions and how to access clinician manual to make changes.
To request the clinician manual scroll down and follow the directions.

I believe at one time, the term "CFLEX" was only used for manual CPAP, and "AFLEX" was only used with APAP. Now, the terms are used a little differently.

Also on the REMstar legacy auto machine, "CFLE" on the clinician's menu meant "manual CPAP plus flex" and "AFLE" means "APAP plus flex."

fur46bit, please register on the board and fill in your equipment on your user profile. It's free and you won't get spam.

Assuming you have a Philips Respironics Series One REMstar Auto, the AFLEX setting is adjustable. You can choose level 1, 2, or 3 from the menu. "1" is the least amount of flex/most pressure. Well, you SHOULD be able to change the FLEX setting, but some lowlife DMEs will lock it out to keep you from changing it. In that case, you'll see a lock symbol if you try to change it.

Check and see what your pressure setting is. Start CPAP the way you normally do and see what pressure it shows on the display when it starts up. Don't use the ramp function if you feel you're having a hard time breathing.

By the way, what model was your old CPAP machine?
