Ventilator Downloads - Input Requested Pls.

Post by Madalot » Tue Jun 28, 2011 10:04 am

I have made arrangements to be able to get downloads from my ventilator whenever I want or need them. I can get as much printed out as I want, whenever I want.

So, if anybody is interested in seeing something to see if anything jumps out, tell me what information you want to see and I'll get it and post it.

That could be very helpful. (Not that I'd know what I was looking at or what to make of it, but) I'd be interested to see what the data looks like. Of course, I hope someone else here CAN decipher it and help you determine adjustments that might improve your sleep.

In any event, gaining access to it is a step in the right direction.

I went back through some old reports from downloads and here's what I think I can get. Some of this information may be irrelevant and I've been told that we can specify exactly which pieces we want on the reports:

For the time period in question (a range of dates from the download), I can get:

Apnea Count
Average Breaths Per Minute
Average IPAP/Average EPAP
Average Leak
Average Minute Ventilation
Average Patient Triggered Breaths
Average Peak Flow
Average Ti/Ttot (%)
Average Vte)

For a specific date, I can get waveforms for the following, showing the pattern during the entire night:

Breaths Per Minute
IPAP/EPAP
Leak
Minute Ventilation
Patient Triggered Breaths
Peak Flow
Ti/Ttot (%)
Vte

I don't want to ask for more than I need because it takes up paper...

Just a thought, but I would think it would be helpful to look at the detailed data from a typical night AND from the night you took the Nyquil and slept so much better. Maybe that comparison would offer some clue as to what effect the Nyquil had on you.

This makes sense. I will ask for reports from the last 3 nights, get them, scan them and post them (should be about 6 pages worth).

On the off chance that it may reveal something it would be interesting to see a correlation between

Wave forms of Breaths Per Minute and IPAP/EPAP

and

SpO2 and Heart Beats Per Minute.

Especially if you happen to know at what time you woke up with the excess pressure blasting in your face.

The idea is to try to identify if there is a pattern that leads up to you waking up.

Here's what I CAN do...

I will post the ventilator information from the last 3 nights. However, the program doesn't give times so matching up a time on it is a problem.

I did an overnight pulse ox last night and will post that report as well.

When I woke up around 7am this morning (right before I got up) the ventilator was blasting me at close to 20. That's the best I can tell you right now.

I need to get everything uploaded, which I will do shortly. Then I will post them -- will be about 7 pages worth of information.

Okay -- here we go. I sometimes have problems with the right side of my stuff being cut off and I haven't figured out how to fix it. The full night waveforms are to the left and on some of these reports, there is a brief period on the right. That would be a recliner nap. Post any questions and I'll try to answer them as best I can.

It looks like your IPAP increases as your Breaths Per Minute drops off.

When your Breaths Per Minute increase, it also looks like your heart Beats Per Minute also increase.

All of this seems consistent with an arousal, but this brings up the question of what is causing your Breaths Per Minute to drop off... ?

Congartulations!
The person who does the download for your should be able to use a "pdf printer" which prints to pdf files. Getting images from those maybe simple -- and that does save paper. And, of course, pdf's can be emailed.

I use this one http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/ for creating pdf files.

Well, if there is something specific someone wants me to post, I'l get it one way or another -- hardcopy or PDF file.

Thought this was an appropriate way to bump your thread, Maddie, with hopes that those here who might be able to help you with the data will see the thread.

I'm so glad you are able to access your information now. It doesn't mean anything to me, but I'm glad it's available, and I hope someone will be able to help you understand it.
