Gotta laugh at the cognitive flubs....

Post by ameriken » Tue Jun 28, 2011 9:15 am

So, it's almost 3 weeks on a machine. Little by little, bit by bit, I can tell things are slowly improving. Very slowly, I've got a long way to go. Especially when it comes to the brain.

I went to make my second cup of coffee this morning.

Boiled the water.

Poured it in the cup.

Grabbed the teaspoon for a scoop of instant coffee.

Dumped it in the cup and....wait a second...what the....oh geez, what a dork.

That's not coffee, it's cat food.

I had just fed the cats a little while earlier and put the lid back on it. I guess I'll have to find another place to keep the opened can of cat food, at least further away from where I make the coffee. Needless to say, that was a good little laugh this morning.

Thinking of quitting CPAP?

No problem, here's the first thing to do when you quit:

Advanced funeral planning. When you give up CPAP, you'll probably need it.

Probably would have tasted better had you put cream in it
I couldn't help myself *chuckles*

Oh yeh! I put orange juice in my tea instead of milk. It didn't taste the same.

Did the cats seemed wired that day?

Now, that's really funny...we cats need all the laughs we can get, in private of course, we cats never lose our dignity by laughing out loud

LOL, well, I think it'll be ok, just so long as I don't find myself in the litter box sometime.

You aren't alone in the fogs. On Sunday I went to church with one black dress shoe and one beige sneaker. Wouldn't have been bad for someone sitting in a pew, but I'm the pastor up on a dais.....

Hi All

Last night I was looking for some books I had put aside to send to a friend of mine in NSW, but couldn't find them. Not an unusual situation, so I figured they would eventually turn up.

This afternoon she rang me - to thank me for the books I had sent her.

Nuff said

My eyes are a little sensitive to the bright sun, so I always wear my sunglasses when I go out. When I get home I have a habit of setting them down in one of many various places. So, one day I was going out and I was looking and looking and looking for them. I think I spent a solid 10 or 15 minutes searching all of those places where I might have set them, and then everywhere else. I went up to the bathroom to check if maybe I set them in or on one of the cabinets. That's when I saw myself in the mirror that I was wearing them.

Don't you just love it. I find myself looking for stuff all the time I can forget what I had ,will put something down walk into another room to put item in suitcase for trip and forget where I put it spent 15 minutes looking for extra pills last night. Also have severe decreased kidney function and one of the problems with that is mixing up words when talking poor hubby never really knows what I mean.
