Excessive Sweating, during day when awake

Hi, has anyone experienced extreme excessive sweating after being on CPAP. This started immediately and has only grown worse. Now that summer started it is unbearable. I recv'd many benefits from the CPAP, but for some reason it has changed the way my body operates tremendously. I am not overweight, 6ft tall, 190 lbs. I have consulted, Neurologist, Thoracic Surgeon, family dr., nobody has anything to help me. Yes, I am aware of the Hyperhidrosis Sites and the solutions they provide. I am wondering if anyone has experienced this and or beat it. I don't want to stop using CPAP but it is getting rather difficult with situation. Thank you

Again, additional info.......I hav considered switching to an Adjustable pressure machine, APAP to try and reduce the amount of oxygen I am getting, I am wondering if I am getting too much, almost like I am 'supercharged' if that makes any sense.

The CPAP is not supplying you with oxygen...it's just your room air under pressure.

I am not sure what machine you are using, but if it has a heated humidifier keep in mind that breathing warm air warms the body.

On a lark... Have you been checked for hypoglycemia? One of the symptoms is excessive sweating, and if your blood glucose is close to normal, it might not be something you get checked for regularly. It would show up in a multi-hour sugar test, though.

You might want to consider seeing a cardiologist. About 8months ago I noticed I was also sweating in unusual amounts, sometimes without doing much activity. It was disconcerting because I'm a healthy 25yr old who rarely gets sick and exercises regularly. They diagnosed me with a mitral valve issue which, combined with the sleep apnea, makes me very sensitive to any kind of andrenaline in my system. For me, its like I'm about to go on stage or ride a roller coaster- my heart beats faster and I sweat, almost like my body's nervous if that makes sense. Any kind of sleep disturbance will make the heart work harder at night and many heart issues are linked to sleep disorders.
I'd say get that checked out, be on the safe side. And know you're not the only one.

I'm always hot and sweat all the time. I can't say it seems any different since being on CPAP.

I've had my thyroid checked multiple times and it is always "normal" on the tests. (Even recently at the Mayo Clinic)

Keep us posted, I'd be interested in what you find out. It's tough being "hot" all the time.

did you get any answers from docts? I myself have experienced sweating from cpap, and heart palpitations. The sweating turns into acne and the heart palpitations scare me. I stopped using cpapa for one night and the sweating during the day stopped and the palpitations decreased....
