I read somewhere that you will lose a maximum of 20% of the "loft" The extra hulls are if you need to add to it.

My standard buckwheat weighs between 9.5 and 10.5 pounds! I still love it. I just wish I could smell my yummy lavender sachets I put in it when I have my mask on!

Thanks so much!

I'm in the early stages of using a ResMed AutoSet Spirit II and a Liberty mask, and I'm a side sleeper. I'm using a buckwheat pillow, and like the firmness and the fact that you can set a position for the (side of) the head, and it won't interfere with the position of the mask.

In the UK, I got my pillow from http://www.browfarm.co.uk, and I can recommend them.

Got my special CPAP pillow yesterday. They say it might take a few days to get used to it. Last night was OK, a bit of sore neck. Mask still leaked a bit when turning sideways. The one big thing i noticed. When I first lay in bed I was on my back, normally the machine will get all excited and start ramping up because it doesn't like me in that position but this time it was just nice and easy,I couldn't believe it.It would seem the position of the head gives a more open airway than a normal pillow.

I will report more in a week or so. I know you cant wait.

I have always been one for a sort of "flat" pillow (meaning, I don't like the over stuffed ones as they give me a sore neck since I am a side and stomach sleeper). How thick are these things?? I'm considering ordering one, but just don't know yet.

Also, any reports on the Millet side yet? Maybe I didn't see it, and I apologize if it has already been stated.

Perry
Have had mine for a couple of weeks. It had 4.5 lbs of buckwheat when it arrived, and that was too fat and hard for me so took out about a pound and a quarter. Now its flat enough for me to plump up the hulls around my neck and to push them away from my mask.........you can take out as much as you want and then push the rest of the hulls to wherever you need them.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

Hi, I never post, but have been lurking for quite awhile. I thought I'd chime in regarding the buckwheat pillows and share my experience. They're GREAT! I got leaks in my mask consistently and was getting really frustrated until I gave the buckwheat pillow a try. I don't know if I just move around less on it or if the buckwheat hulls move out of the way of the mask, but it works. I also bought a beans72 pillow, which I loved, but I just replaced it with a "Hullo pillow" which is much better quality.
