How to buy a ResMed machine w/out script

Is is possible to buy a machine with out a prescription? I have a friend looking for a Resmed S8 elite and doesn't want the sleep study he knows he has apnea and will creep up the presssure until his figures look good.

Any DME will require a script. Without one try Craigslist.
