Last night I used same humidifier. No nap that day. Slept 8.5 hrs and there was water left, but not much. At least it did not go dry. I will try my other humidifier but I think it is as others have pointed out, just the greater volume of air going through the humidifier. It doesn't have much reserve if one sleeps a long time.

Thanks for asking!
I wish i could sleep for 8.5 hours. Its been many years since i have done that.

You gave a very good response, but I think you may have gotten mixed up on this one aspect.
Perhaps there is something unique to the CPAP system I am not considering, but higher pressures normally result in less evaporation (just at LP Gas stays liquid in the pressurized tank).

Edit:
The higher pressure would push air out of the mask's exhaust vents quicker which would increase air flow and thus evaporation.

Note to OP - one thought is you could take a shower before going to bed to help humidify the bedroom (I'm assuming your bathroom is close).

Not really sure why, it's not as though the hose gets very warm at all. However, it could have to do with the expected amount of heat loss through the hose wall; a difference from expected values could theoretically screw up their humidity algorithm, but that really seems like picking nits...
After I started using a hose cover with my heated hose, my S9 would shut off and give a "defective hose" message. I moved the cover so about 8" of hose on my end is exposed and that resolved the issue for my conditions (generally around 70° and 40-60% humidity).
