RESMED S8 AutoScore

Post by aolancaster » Tue Jun 07, 2011 10:36 pm

Problems with machine.Using about two years .Developed a whining whistle sound .contacted my supplier and he informed me that it was probably the bearing Says it would be difficult to repair.and expensive ,sounds to me that it is his way of selling a new machine. Emailed RESEMED no reply yet .Has anybody had this problem and what did they do about it Machines cost $2000.00 over here so will have to go back to my trusty old Sullivan 111D 20 years old and still working.

Going by your nickname and the fact you said "over here", I'm assuming you live in England?

So, this company located in the U.S.A. might not be an option for you, but I'll post the link anyway.
Thanks to Wulfman for finding it a long time ago.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you .A lot has happened since then . Went into hospital for heart check ,ended up with a triple bypass. While in hospital contacted local sleep clinic who supplied a loan machine while my machine was repaired Yes it was a bearing ,took about two weeks ,now back to normal ,cost about $ nz 50.Yes it was down here in the antipodes .
