Titration last night...What a breeze!

Post by sleeplessinthevalley » Thu May 19, 2011 9:23 am

Yes, pun intended. My initial study was miserable. I only slept a total of 94 minutes. I wasn't sure how I would fare with air blowing up my nose all night. Last night my prep included homemade chicken soup (comfort food), an hour in the 91 degree water in the therapy pool right before I went, and an Ambien.

I'm happy to announce that I had absolutely no problems. I fell asleep easily and only woke up when they changed to a full face mask. It was time to wake up and I was surprised it was morning.

My initial study showed severe OSA with a AHI of 84. My O2 was below 90% 48% of the time. I need this therapy to work! I have a long way to go but am much more hopeful that I will be successful than before titration.I wanted to add this thread for all of those people out there waiting for titration. If like me you are concerned about titration ,take heart. I got through it fine and you can too!

Now I am waiting for final report and script. Any ideas on full face masks?
Thanks
