When talking about which mask suits you the best, it helps for people to see how your face is shaped.

Heavens no! I am not good looking. But I am me. Take me or leave me. That's your choice.

Why use my own picture? For several reasons. Primarily the decision to use my own picture is based on my desire to build an online presence that others can trust. I want to cut through the online fog and let you know I am a very real person who cares about others. I've used online forums such as this a LOT longer than most people. My company was one of the first to develop and use the internet. We had electronic mail a LONG time before most. I know the problems that can arise. I understand how important it is for others to develop a sense of trust in the person providing recommendations. Knowing that I'm a real person and not someone stirring the pot helps them accept my advice.

Why not use my own picture? There is some risk involved with letting millions and millions of people know who I am. I am very careful to not provide other identifying information. This cuts the risks. This is also a very specialized forum. The reduced number of people who come here also reduces risks.

In the end, I felt the benefit outweighed the risks. Thus, I decided to use my own name/picture.

I do not condemn others who choose not to use their name/picture. We all have to weigh the choice and determine the path we will take.

Your dogs don't look very happy lars.
Do they snore during sleep?

Yes, they do have that look like:

What cat? We don't know where your cat is!

My dog does snore when he sleeps. I resemble my avatar.

That's not a dog. Looks like a lamb to me. Of course, my dogs pic looks like one dog and one large mouse.

It's a Schnauzer (in need of a hair cut) sleeping on his back and yawning. He leads a rough life. He does snore, quite loudly at times.

He might not snore if you taught him to sleep on his side instead of on his back!
Apparently he does not frequent this forum.

This little guy is even cuter than me!
Only my eyes are looking better, now that I'm getting more/better sleep.

Myself, I did not want to gross anyone out, so I have used several
characters, not real. Currently, I'm using my dogs, as I think they are much
better looking than myself.
My wife makes me use my real picture so that all the pretty girls will know not to bother flirting with me.
