Do you remember the origin of that--the Brylcreem jingle?

Brylcreem, a little dab'll do ya,
Brylcreem, you'll look so debonair,
Brylcreem, the gals will pursue ya,
Simply rub a little in your hair.

Brylcreem is defunct, but part of their jingle lives on. Memes are interesting that way.
Sure I do! (But it was Emilia who said it here...) And I think Brylcreem is still around.

I also think the last line is "They'll love to run their fingers thru your hair."

Here's a trip down memory lane: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6F4GtyRfto

The OSA patient died quietly in his sleep.
Unlike his passengers who died screaming as the car went over the cliff...

Hi Dusty....are you completely wedded to the idea of using the Liberty? It sounds like it just isn't the right mask for you, for a number of reasons.

I'm with a few others here--it was a miserable mask for me and I hated it. I loved the Hybrid though.

but the bottom line is that it took me ten, yes, TEN, masks to find the one that works reliably for me every night. It took about 5 months of constant work on the mask thing. It was awful. Had more nights of no sleep and screaming/crying fits than I care to remember...not to mention the claustrophobia and fear that I wouldn't be able to even find a mask that worked for me. I'm not sure how my hubby lived through it all--I think it was as hard on him as it was on my, especially the waking up screaming and ripping the mask off thing. Not good!

You're in good company here because so many of us that been through that and remember it well.

If you want to try a different mask and your DME/insurance company say no, do NOT accept that as a final answer. You can find masks very cheaply on the cpap auction from this site, craigslist, ebay, etc. Most of the masks I tried cost me from $10 to $50. I swapped with some members here and passed masks on to others as a way to pay it forward.

Quitting is not an option; finding a better mask for you is! And it can be done--it just takes determination and a desire to feel better.

Weezy

Brylcreem. I remember my Dad making fun of Grandpa for using it.

No I'm not wedded to the idea of this Liberty... just stuck with it for awhile. My disposable income is close to nil so getting a mask other then through insurance would be difficult. I like the nasal pillows when I can get them to sttay put. Right now I'm using a strip of pantyhose across them to steady them. I switched again from the small mask frame to the medium one as I could not keep the pillows in my nose despite the lanisoh. So far it's working.
