CPAP and Elderly Cardiovascular Mortality
CPAP and Elderly Cardiovascular Mortality
This article is about a study out of Spain: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/releases/225362.php For those who may be interested......
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

Funny...
I couldn't find their definition of "elderly." It better not include me!

Mean age was 70.6 and 64.7% were males.
In Methods they mention > of the little line under the greater symbol which I can't seem to duplicate here, age 65
It's a pdf so can't copy but interesting read.

Hmmm, I just did a test copy of part of it. I'm using Adobe Reader 7.0. At the top is a select button. Using it I can mark a part of the document and copy to clipboard. Do you not have a select option in whatever you are using to read it? I have Reader set to open up as stand alone, not inside the browser. Maybe this makes a difference?Pugsy wrote:It's a pdf so can't copy but interesting read.

Don't know. Never have been able to copy/paste pdf stuff. Though to be honest never tried very hard. I never have used Adobe except to view pdf. Had no clue as to any of the features in that software. Never even created a pdf document.idamtnboy wrote: Hmmm, I just did a test copy of part of it. I'm using Adobe Reader 7.0. All I ever did was the usual highlight, copy and paste and if that didn't work either gave up or made a screen shot to post.
For this document I didn't feel that it was a big deal and didn't want to take the time to do that.
Next time I have something in pdf format I will actually try to use Adobe for something other than reading.
I don't like it. I hate it that it wants to update all the time and I can't turn the updater off no matter how many times I stop that process. So I never bothered to even look at the software features. To me it has always just been a necessary evil to read those documents. I used that other free pdf reader program (forget its name) on my other computer but this computer is my husbands and it came with Adobe so I didn't remove it like I did on my computer.
I will give your suggestion a try. It would save me some work. Always happy to save some work or time. Thanks for the hint. I had been wondering how you copied all that pdf stuff about the Medicare regs.
My computer strengths sort of elsewhere.. Some things good at and some things (the ones that don't interest me) not good at.

Re: CPAP and Elderly Cardiovascular Mortality
That's right, the usual does not work. Have to go through the extra step first. Once in awhile you will find even that does not work. When PDFs are generated one of the options is whether or not to allow copying and printing. In rare instances the creator will decide to restrict those functions.Pugsy wrote:All I ever did was the usual highlight, copy and paste and if that didn't work either gave up or made a screen shot to post.
