Change your mask and deal with the issues. The point of this is to repair your body and brain so you can function and live a longer life.

Here's the point: AHI: 0.4. You're obscenely less likely to have a stroke or heart attack in your sleep. What was your AHI when you were first diagnosed?

Leak is HUGE. ResMed machines already subtract the mask intentional leak/vent rate before reporting.
So this is all excess leak and Resmed's own line in the sand where they say all bets are off is 24 L/min. Half of what you are reporting.

At leaks in the 24 L/min and above ResMed says that therapy and/or scoring of data will be compromised.
We can't trust the data that initially looks good.

Mask pain and leaks are the hardest part of this therapy. Current mask is obviously not working. Time to consider a different one. Too much pain and leaking like a sieve. Can't even begin to expect to have any improvement till these issues are addressed and resolved.

Thank you, Pugsy. This is the kind of analysis I am looking for.
I don't have access to the detailed reports and graphs so I am trying to figure out why I still feel crap if the therepy appears to be working (AI 0.0).

Can't trust that AI at all with that leak. It is so bad that the machine probably cannot sense the events to properly score them.

I sent you a private message with software tutorial link.

You need to consider changing masks. Masks should not cause that much pain and it sure needs to be more easily controlled regarding leaks.

To give you an example....a leak of less than 10 L/min would be acceptable. Between 10 and 20 L/min, needs improvement.
Over 20 L/min....pretty much invalidates anything you see on the reports (even software reports) and also pretty much negates any potential therapy benefits. You aren't getting any therapy to speak of, certainly not what is needed to be effective.

Until leaks are controlled, hours of sleep are at least adequate we have no hope of seeing improvement not to mention other factors that can mess with how we feel.

Not surprised when you say still very tired. Even if everything else was optimal that about of leak could simply disrupt sleep enough to mess with how you feel.

Your other machine settings and stuff I really don't have the expertise to comment on. There are other members here who do use your type of machine and/or have the expertise to comment on the various settings and how those factors may impact how you feel. Best to let them comment the particular settings.

I don't know all your history or what different masks you have tried but I do know that the leak now is way too much and if you can't get it under control and if the mask hurts then maybe a change in mask is in order.
You can have the best AHI in the world and it means nothing if the data can't be trusted and/or your sleep is disrupted/fragmented or just poor in general for any number of reasons.

Leak is still huge.

I have seen your comments about having problems with the software. Sorry, no help there.

I would consider trying a different mask if it were me. This one sure isn't working.

I changed the minimum pressure to 5 - not sure what the min and max pressures mean.

How could average pressure be 13.4 when the maximum is set at 12? I'm lost!

I'm lost too!!!

I think maybe the MAX and MIN settings are for when the machine is in straight CPAP mode, but I'm not sure.
