Infineer DT3500 driver problems Win 7 64 bit running Encore

Post by LittleRedTruck » Sun May 15, 2011 8:48 am

Good morning ! Need some computer help. I have windows 7 professional and can run XP programs in the virtual mode. I have Encore pro 1.7 installed and comes up fine. Im not sure how to install Mako DT3500, Infineer card reader drivers. Should i get Mako Win 7 64 bit driver and install while in Win 7. Or, should I get XP driver and install that while in XP virtual mode. If I install them as 64 bit in win 7, would the driver function while in XP virtual mode. Thanks for your thoughts, i hope someone has been here and done this. Thanks, Dan

I have a 64 bit driver installed in Win7 Ultimate, I have never run virtual mode, I think it's too much work. I have always had good luck by allowing the install utility to go out to the internet and choose the driver it wants. Plug it in and let it go.

I can't find the 64bit win7 driver. Do you know where on the net I can get it, or even the file name? I too have Win 7 Ultimate and can't get the card reader to read the card.

When all else fails try Microsoft. I have Ultimate driver has been working for months. Maybe select update driver and let it go do what it knows how to do.

I tried that but didn't find a better driver. What version of encore pro are you using?

Both EP 1.8.49 and 2.3.14 working on Win7 Ult 64

I think you need to say what it is you are working with?

I got it working. Did a search on this board and found 2.0 driver. Uninstalled old driver, rebooted, installed new driver, rebooted, then plugged reader in and it worked. My details are in my signature. Thanks for your help.

Keep in mind - it doesn't mean your details haven't changed and you 'forgot' to update them. I'll remember to ass-u-me next time, rather than be clear. For sure the details didn't say whether one program was working or not, either.

Remember to check Microsoft
