Small Quatro to small quattro FX?

Post by hobbs » Fri May 13, 2011 2:10 pm

Anyone gone from a small Quattro FFM to a small Quattro FX FM? With the help of a members sizing Gage, (will be sent back next week), the small FX looks too big for my wife. Extra small Quattro was too small and she has had good luck with the small.

I am about to retry the quattro fx, with larger headgear. The standard headgear was just to hard to adjust. I went from small Quattro to a medium fx though.

I have the small quattro full face. It was surprising to me, because every other mask I've used has been a medium, standard, etc., but for whatever reason the small fits me best. I used the sizing guide on cpap.com. I imagine there is a sizing guide for the quattro fx, to yes? You might also consider calling cpap.com and asking them how they compare.

I am solidly between sizes with the original quattro and the Mirage micro--between small and petite.
The quattro fx is too large in a small.
To top it off, these masks, and also the Liberty, simply do not fit my facial structure.
I would love to try the new mirage FX, but I assume it's the same way.
The Swift fx is the only Resmed mask I have ever worn successfully.

With that one the nose becomes the only consideration - love mine!

No intention of hijacking this thread - sorry.

One word about the FX - look where it would fall on your nose. It's not up top like the regular Quattro but on the hump below there. It stopped up my nose inflated and I passed on that mask. Just information for you. If you look at the mask on cpap dot com you'll notice it has lower ratings than its big brother (which is the leakiest mask I've ever worn)!

Please let us know how you do with the larger headgear. I have the large headgear on order for my medium Quattro FX. I have been way to leaky around the bridge of my nose and am hoping the large headgear helps.
