Software was covered by Healthcare FSA

Post by jmcanzo » Thu May 12, 2011 12:01 pm

I used my Healthcare Flexible Spending Account to pay for my SmartLink Version 2.0 Software with Module, Cables, Data Card and Card Reader for DeVilbiss IntelliPAP Machines. I was not sure if the would approve it, I just sent them the receipt and the script I asked the Dr. to write. The script stated "SmartLink Version 2.0 Software with Module, Cables, Data Card and Card Reader for DeVilbiss IntelliPAP Machines" Just got the email they approved it . My FSA is a credit type card, I just paid CPAP.com with it and then the FSA admin sent me an email asking for verification as to what was purchased, uploaded to their website and was approved the next day.

Congrats... that is cool and good to know for those who use those accounts!!
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

Yeah, I used my FSA to pay for software/reader. I just ordered a pile of stuff from cpap.com, and then submitted it....just put down cpap supplies...and they approved it.

Would've been nicer if insurance had covered it though....
