nose lining irritation

Post by phybrr » Wed Dec 29, 2004 11:56 am

I use the Remstar Pro with a nose mask with pillows.

I frequently have to stop using the machine because my nose lining becomes super sensitive even painful. I clean the mask about every four days in mild detergent or dilute vinegar. I also use a humidifier which I clean the same as the mask.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Are you using a nasal gel such as Ayr Gel or Roezit before you insert the pillows?

Try switching to pillows that are one size smaller. This reduced my nasal irritation significantly.

Hello

with tempermental sinuses I use vasline on ear bud to insert vasline into my nasal cavity. I put a reasonable amount of vasline and it suppose to moisten the tubinate a bit. Having a dreadful sinuses I inset a good amount of vasline in my snoz.

It has relived the pains of over dry tubinates in my nose, as it puts a protective barrier to keep it moist whist the CPAP is operating. I then use anti congeston sprays to keep my nose open. It relives the sneezes and the snuffles 1st thing in the morning!
Been on CPAP for a while.....I had moderate apenoa
