That T4 was measured back in 1989 when I was diagnosed. Any doctor I've seen since says that TSH is all that is necessary to measure and they never check the T4. I have not seen an endocrinologist, ever. My old GP diagnosed me and we found from antibodies that it had started about a year earlier. The stories I could tell about that year. Suffice it to say that I thought I had become very old at the age of 43.

Maybe that's why you need an endocrinologist.
