No, with the M series Smart card it must be the Mako DT3500 Infineer smart card reader. Nothing else will work.
Cheapest place I have found on the internet is $54 plus S & H.

The M series machines can use EncoreViewer 2.0 and Encore Pro 2.4xx once that DT3500 card is obtained.
Will of course work on the older versions of the software also.

You might ask if anyone here has a card reader they might sell (like maybe the old M series machine died and they got a new machine and no longer need the card reader). I haven't seen any being offered other than the one place that had it for $54 and cpap.com which offers it for $79 and they will price match.

You might try Ebay but it might be like the ResMed card readers. Pricey there too.

Don't most DMEs have card readers? Mine offered to read my card and give me a printout for $15. I have never done it since I periodically check daily data and since I am having no problems, I am satisfied with that.

As Pugsy suggested, just ask the members here if they still have one they are not using. I bought mine the same way, one of the members machine died, but the humidifier and smart card reader still worked. Those were the items I needed, so bought them and haven't looked back. You never know what some of the guys and gals have in their cpap stash until you ask.
Good luck
Nan
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

Thank you all so much.

I actually have an offer from a forum member for a card reader. Hopefully that will work out. I'll keep these links to be safe. But I am excited about the offer from the forum member.

Thank you all again
