Serial ports are a pain, that's why they aren't used, they are full of dino droppings. They have to be configured to work, they could be turned off in the computer BIOs, and or not configured correctly. also the newer programs may not support the DT-3000, have to check on the software to find that out. I still have not been able to locate Encore Viewer 1.0 disc. Sorry. But I will still look.
