Cpap for sale!!!

Post by cgaiser » Sat Apr 30, 2011 12:19 am

Remstar (Resperionics) M Series Plus C-Flex CPAP Machine. CPAP is still in travel case with original tubing, mask, etc. The only time that it was ever taken out was when the people came to my home to show me how to use it. Then it was put back in the bag, and never used since. This particular model comes with new nasal mask, unopened filter, CPAP with smart card, all tubing, heated humidifier, AC adapter and deluxe carrying case all in brand new condition, still in plastic. All from smoke/pet free home. Actual model description is as follows..The REMstar Plus M Series with C-Flex offers optional integrated humidification, optional Encore Pro SmartCard capability for basic compliance reporting, lighted controls, an easy-to-read display and the comfort of C-Flex. The REMstar Plus sports a small, sleek device and case, a less obtrusive profile with tubing connected in the back and a "hidden" water chamber. The plus offers lighted primary touch controls for power, ramp, and C-Flex as well as a LCD display and controls for advanced reporting and set up. The optional integrated humidifier has simple controls and an easy to turn humidification dial. The water chamber is easy to remove, fill, replace, and delivers continuous humidification throughout the night. The REMstar Plus is convenient for travel with or without the integrated humidifier. The standard travel carry case has been updated with additional compartments and sleek design. It has the instruction booklet, and has technically 5 minutes of use lol. I just never wanted to use the thing lol. I am in denial and we need money bad. Upon research this particular model costs approx 1500.00. I am asking 500.00 obo. Please let me know if interested or if any questions, Thanx!!!!

Before you sell it are you positive it's yours to sell? Insurance companies won't usually pay for a CPAP unless you meet compliance requirements, and if you never used this it won't meet the requirements. You might be surprised with a $1500 (or more) bill from your DME in a few months.

Perhaps you should try cpapauction.com. They are affiliated with this site. Five hundred dollars for a discontinued machine is a bit much. I have the M series auto with a flex, bought it for $70 with 250 hours on it, bought the humidifier and the card reader for encore last month for $60. Yes the M series is discontinued, if you just got it from your supplier you were taken to the cleaners, they were trying to get rid of old stock.
Good luck

Not to add to your worries, but you were prescribed the equipment because you have a medical condition which, if left untreated, will end up costing a whole lot more than whatever you will be lucky to get for the machine.

What's keeping you from even trying the machine?

Hi. You may be in denial, but your body isn't. I understand being in a position where you need money and you look around to see what's easiest to sell (been there myself... I suspect quite a few people have), but you were prescribed this machine as treatment against an ailment that can prove progressively fatal. The machine is like cigarettes in reverse, rather than kill you a little each time, it saves your life a little each night.

I can't comment on the American medical schemes, and what you need to do and who owns the machine when, but I'd suggest you look for other ways for money - perhaps talk to a finance counselor (many charities and churches have trained people you can talk with no obligation... again, been there myself. Takes swallowing some pride, but haven't looked back since).
