Besides the obligatory wisdom-tooth-ectomy 40 yr ago, I also broke a bottom molar tooth about 6 years ago. That's before I was found to have a crooked nose or OSA, but the teethgrinding may well have been partly related to the Apnea.
Two and a half yr ago I began a looong process of driving 3 hr to a dental college to get an implant done, so I now have 4 missing wisdom teeth and one molar replaced with an implant. Despite the unnecessarily drawn out timeline for getting the implant done at the dental college, the implant has worked out rather well. Of course, I had gone so long with a hole in my jaw that I was almost used to it... except for the occasional chunk of cheek I'd manage to catch on the adjoining teeth.
