If you can't access the data via the LCD screen then its just a matter of your local DME provider having locked you out of it - and a SIMPLE matter to get a pdf of the Clinicians Manual and unlock the data.
Hi Slinky,
Story is, my cpap data malfunctioned on my machine.

Take it back to your DME provider to be repaired or replaced. I had a problem w/an Error 101 w/my VPAP Auto. I called Resmed and talked to one of their engineers, was told it was a software fault and to take it back to my provider. I had to remind him my VPAP Auto was no longer under warranty and he told me it would be $55 to "fix" it. It took about 6 weeks because my provider held on to it for close to a month getting insurance approval for coverage for the repair. So it didn't even cost me the $55 I expected.

Hi Slinky,
I don't have a DME provider. I use VA medical. Wish equipment diagnoses/repair/replace is that simple with VA hospital. VA patients are not permitted to perform any task on cpap machine. So, I shouldn't know anything about data loss. So, purchasing my own machine was best decision for my own treatments. While waiting for turtle crawl speeds of the VA system.
My data went out Oct 2010, clinic did pressure test, shared cpap was working fine, hand it back to me. As for data corruption, I have to wait for the sleep doc. In the meantime, I will be taking care of myself.
Any Vet will verify, how slow the VA system is.
Also, I had found a local civilian DME, that was willing to help, but all cost was out of my own pocket. And no one had any idea, what it would cost to repair. Today, I was lucky to find an identical cpap, at the right price.
Thanks for your input.

Did you buy it new or used? If you bought it new did you register it at myresmed.com? If new have you had it more than 2 years?
I'm glad you were able to find a replacement at a decent price. Yeah, our government is quick to call our vets heroes - until it comes time to fulfill its promises and obligations to them. Same thing w/our local police and firemen when money gets tight in town - who are the first to be "cut"??? Fire and police.
