The "as you know so well" wasn't snippy at all (as I read it) -- was just mentioning a fact of life -- that we all sometimes get some emotional relief by "venting" about things that bother us. I think Dori was just politely thanking you for being supportive of her feelings about Mike's situation. And was saying she knew you would understand that it helped her to do that in your thread, since you understand the value/relief we all get by "venting" occasionally.
I hope you're right Laura, because Dori is one of the last people I would ever want to upset or offend.

It seems like everywhere I turn these days either I'm upset with somebody or somebody seems upset with me.

It's becoming obvious that my emotions are fried being so fatigued all the time. I'm beginning to think that my trying to be a worthy participant in anything, anymore, is a fruitless endeavor.

Dori,

My heart goes out to you and Mike. Tough time for both of you.

Maddie,

I hope you can keep plugging away at your own ideas of what settings to tweak in an effort to start sleeping better soon.

What kind of wound is it? Does it qualify for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?
Hi NM, That was a question my son brought up with the Dr(great minds think alike),but Mike is not a candidate for several medical reasons, one is that he has ear nerve damage(another war injury) that required invasive surgery and reconstruction and might cause problems in the chamber, and the other is that 2 benign calcified pulmonary lesions were discovered on a routine chest xray and confirmed by ultrasound which rules him out as well. He has other medical conditions that also disqualify him. I just started researching laser therapy, do you have any thoughts on that?
I think the first thing that one needs to determine in order to plan a course of wound care is what exactly the nature of the wound is. If the wound is caused by insufficent circulation, for example, unless the blood supply to the area is improved (surgical intervention), then it is unlikely that any of the wound care approaches will stand much chance of success. And I'm kinda thinkin' that if you've been attacking this thing for 4 months with an aggressive wound care team you've got an underlying arterial problem. Can you post your ABIs (what medical discipline doesn't have a heap o' acronyms?)?

Maddy Dear, Of course you didn't upset me, why would you? You've been nothing but supportive of me and I'm so grateful to you (and a little surprised at myself ) for allowing me to inject my problems into your thread. RG has it exactly right, I was just responding to your last comment above by telling you that you were indeed helping me by letting me to vent my frustrations here, knowing that you'd understand the relief it can offer at times. Sending you a hug!

Not Muffy, Thanks for your interest, I really appreciate it. So as not to hijack Madalot's thread any more than I have already, I'll try to start my own thread on this and hopefully give you a better picture.

I am really glad that is how you meant it. The fact that I could let my thoughts and feelings go to another place and interpret what you said negatively, especially with you, tells me I've got much bigger problems than just being fatigued every afternoon.
