OT: Asked if I had a gun in my home during physical.

Ted Nugent, rock star and avid bow hunter from Michigan , was being interviewed by a liberal journalist, an animal rights activist. The discussion came around to deer hunting. The journalist asked, 'What do you think is the last thought in the head of a deer before you shoot him? Is it, 'Are you my friend?' or is it 'Are you the one who killed my brother?

Nugent replied, 'Deer aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is, what am I going to eat next, who am I going to screw next, and can I run fast enough to get away. They are very much like the Democrats in Congress.

Damn country is becoming a police state. They got the doctors interrogating people and squealing on them for anything. The doctors don't have any business asking questions like that. They must be getting money for it someway. They don't do it for your health that's for sure. You can almost bet they are selling data about their patients. You should dump that place real fast. Check out AlexJonesChannel on youtube. He covers how the country is losing fredoms and becoming a police state.

Had the same question myself from my heathcare provider and bluntly told them it's none of their business if I do or don't.

They asked me if I feel threatened at my home, told them ya my cats keep beating me up and show them all the scratch mark to them.

Compare how many people are killed with guns to how many are killed by Doctors and hospitals. If my Doc ask me about smoke/CO2 detectors or guns I would ask her how many people are killed by Doctor's every year? I would also remind them we have a little thing called a Constitution.

Gun related crime is at a 20 year low, just like gun accidents in the home. All the while there are millions more guns owned by law abiding citizens every year. The majority of gun crimes are gangs and drug related. The stats are on the DOJ and FBI web sites for anyone who wants proof.

This gets me so burned up.

My brother in law is a police office and his wife and him have a two year old. When they first stated taking him to the pediatrician, she had a fit when she found out my BIL was a police officer. She wanted to know if he brought his gun, tazer, pepper spray, etc all home with him. She then found out that they have a Roman Rottweiler (think of a Rottweiler the size of a Grate Dane or Mastiff), and my sister in law thought the doc was going to call children services on them.

This country is getting too soft. Yes, guns can be used to kill people, but so can baseball bats, golf clubs, steak knives, etc. We need to get back to being personally responsible. I think this country has forgotten what that all means.

Now google how many people died during that time because of Doctors and hospitals. Just sayin'

Heck, there was a time magazine article a few years ago that said 7,000 people a year died because of doctor's poor handwriting. I don't want to sound like I'm coming down on Doctors because they save a lot of lives as well. Just like guns do.

I live in Texas.
I have more than one gun.
Sometimes I carry more than one gun. and have a CHL good most places I travel.
My Governer has more than one gun and carries it with him. He has been known to shoot animals with it.
So much for my ins co or Dr wanting to Know.I even think my Dr has one and carries it with him.

Ya know, I would think the patient being on Chantix would be of benefit while quitting smoking and having a gun. Have you ever seen how agitated a person becomes when they try and quit.


What we need are common sense gun laws. And common sense says taking guns away from a law abiding citizen may get you hurt.

I had hoped that 2005 YU55 was going to fix the Gun Nut Problem once and for all, but unfortunately, it looks like that isn't going to happen.

Maybe they were worried about THEIR health. I would be.
In Wisconsin now, Reublics have made hidden weapons completely legal everywhere.
I wouldn't invite anyone into my office or classroom or even near my front lawn now without
ascertaining if they had items that could kill me on their person. And i would inspect personal
effects, also.

You think this is an infringement on your privacy? Your "privacy" is precious but other's lives are not?
