Ever since going on xPAP therapy I have had this experience where I will wake in the early hours & wonder if the xPAP is still on or if it has somehow lost pressure.
I have read in one or two other forums where some others have observed this & I think one person sent his machine back convinced it was failing.
For me this has been repeated (repeatedly) on 5 different brands & types of machines (cpap, apap, bilevel) - I have gone as far as checking the pressures in the morning both mechanically & from the graphs & they always show up as normal.
I consider that what I am experiencing is some type of effect that many others must also be observing hence I am soliciting others observations re this phenomenon.
Question:
Have you ever woken up & been concerned/convinced your xPAP cms had dropped off to perhaps less than half what you think it should be ?
(perhaps thinking your machine was failing)
Cheers

Yes but mine is a reg CPAP I have the 420S I have woke up numorous times thinking is this thing on? I use the CC and that doesnt make hardely any noise from the ex ports and well I have to pull it away from my face to see if its on yet it reads at 9. I have had it checked once cause of it they say its working fine and data shows it at 9. I guess its just getting used to it? I dont even feel the air pressure in my throat anymore like I used to when I first started using it. I think we just get sooo used to it...Who knows...

dsm,
I think I know the feeling you mean. I wake up sometimes and it's so easy to breath with the machine that it feels like it's not working properly, but the pressure readings are where they should be. I assumed it was from being fully relaxed and not fighting against it while asleep. It seems like as soon as I wake up and start moving around it gets harder.
